Going through a phase.

When I was 8 months pregnant with Ozella everything was hard. I had every problem that I had before with Luke, the shots I had to take once a week, keeping check on my diabetes, sickness, and soreness. I also had my hips pop out of place. Which was horrible pain. Getting up and down was almost impossible. I had to go to physical therapy 3 times a week. Just so I could walk.   During this time Justin had been selected to become a Chief in the Navy. This process is a very trying time for those that go through this. They have to go through very many physical, emotional, and intellectual tests for a month. Day and night they work so so hard. Justin did such a great job on everything he had to accomplish during this time. He is such a inspiration to me. Me on the other hand, I was so nervous and scared to start the whole process. I knew this meant i would really have to step up at the house and make sure everything was taken care of while he had to go through all of this....

When I didn't want to take care of myself, but God did.

A good line from Tom Hanks. life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get. When I became pregnant with Luke I had many complications. I had to take a baby aspirin a day, cause I found out I have a blood clotting disorder. At 20 weeks I had to start taking shots once a week just to try to go full term with him (Joslynn came 6 weeks early). Then here comes the horrible glucose test. Failed it because of the shots I had to take and my eating habits were awful.  Pregnancy is not my friend. I was sick for quite a while, Hurt, ect... The list could go on. Back to when I failed the glucose test. Failing that test at the time seemed like one of the worst things for me. I eat like a child. I have literally lived off of chicken nuggets. I could eat them every day. I didn't even eat a hamburger till I married Justin. Bread and sweets was my best friend. I  love junk food. So when I failed that test my first thought is what am I going to eat? I didn'...

Don't sleep through a blessing

God has gave me opportunity after opportunity.  Sometimes I received blessings, and sometimes I missed out on those blessings, cause I didn't abide in his will.  Even after I really realized God's love and wisdom and strength.  I still didn't always put my trust in him.  There was a time that I lived on melatonin. Took it every night before bedtime so I could sleep.  Now I am not judging anyone that takes it, or other sleeping aids.  The thing is God wanted me to stop taking it.  He had been laying it on my mind, and my heart to stop, but I wouldn't stop.  I didn't trust that he could help me.  Especially when he was asking me to stop.   Sleep is something I really love to do and we all need it.  Wanting to get a good night's rest isn't a sin, but I was putting my sleep before God.  Which is a sin.  no matter how big, or small a sin seems in human eyes a sin is a sin to God.  I was telling myself that it wa...

What the Lord did for me.

Growing up I was raised in a Christian home. My parents took me and my brothers to church every time the doors was opened. I got saved when I was young, then baptized. I have believed in Jesus almost all of my life, but the day I truly trusted in him, and his love, and his power was a much different day than just believing in him.   Justin and I had been married a few years. We was living in Mississippi from 2007 to 2010. Then he got orders to move to West Virginia in the middle of nowhere! This place was smaller than Decatur, Tennessee.  This place was in the mountains.  The nearest cell phone service was over that mountain about an hour from where we were moving too.  I had went there before Justin with my father-in-law to find a place to live off base.  We have always preferred to live off base.  When we got there I was able to use Justin's workplace to make a call to him and my mom to let them know how things was. That was it no more calls when I wante...

Having a clear mind

Things haven't always came easy to me in life.  From a young age I struggled in school.  I couldn't hardly read.  Let alone write about anything that made since to anyone.  As a adult things only get worse.  I have struggled with anxiety, depression, and the occasional panic attacks.  You don't have to have a awful life to struggle with these things.  I grew up in a wonderful home. Married a wonderful man straight out of high school ( been married 13 years now).  I have always been taking care of and loved.  BUT, it is always so easy to believe the lies I told myself.       The thing is, those things I told myself. I can't do this. It's going to be to hard.  What will everyone think of me?  I am not  strong enough or smart enough.  Those things I said to myself was actually lies from Satan.  Satan  wants you to believe every lie he feeds you.  In the Bible it says in John 10:10,...
